I have pleasure in certifying that Mr. James Cheong has been Acting Assistant Master in this College for over a year.

I have been much struck with his natural ability as a teacher; and cannot testify more completely as to his character and attainments than by stating that if a vacancy had occurred on our Staff I should most certainly have recommended Mr. Cheong to the Government for appointment.

Mr. Cheong is a good disciplinarian, a kind and sympathetic teacher; his classes passed well at Midsummer and January.
